Be sure to find out at least the following information before installing new software:

1) Where the application will be installed. In this case, /usr/bin.

2) The name of the executable file. In this case, "ktail".

3) Where the documentation will be placed. In this case, /usr/share/doc.

/usr/share/doc is where most user documentation is kept. As of L-M 7.2, this is a new location that conforms with the Linux Standards Base.

/usr/bin is where most applications or "binaries" are placed.
